We had a wonderful Christmas (inspite of me being sick). Claire's favorite Christmas things were nativity sets and candy canes. She got her own toddler friendly nativity set from my Aunt Nancy so she could finally get her hands on one! She would kiss and kiss baby Jesus and then point to Joseph and say "dada." She new Mary was the mommy but just wouldn't say it! She also discovered candy canes, which she calls "can cane." She and Gigi played a game where they hide the candy canes in the furniture cushions. Gigi would ask Claire where they were and Claire would hold her arms out, tilt her head and shrug her shoulders (her I don't know position). Claire would then find them and laugh and squeal. Claire still looks for candy canes and wants to play the "can cane" game.

Claire had so much fun this Christmas seeing all our family members!!!! We visited Shane's family in Texarkana and then my family in Dallas.
Here is Claire at Nana and Papaw's house, in front of her tree.
Claire got a hot pink mini cooper from Nana and Papaw that was motorized. She was too short to reach the pedal but somehow managed to stretch her little legs just enough to make it go. She didn't hold on to the steering wheel but would press the pedal when we told her to. She would lurch forward and eventually crash into something, laughing the whole time, of course. After impact she would throw it in reverse and go again. We didn't have enough room to bring it home but will get it on the next trip.
In Dallas, Claire had a visit from Santa. She was not scared at all and went right up to him. She waved, gave him a hug, and even fed him some Cheerios through his beard. We don't think Claire realized it was Gran Daddy inside the costume.
Here is Claire with her laptop that Gran Daddy found for her. She was so excited and new exactly what it was.
For the first time Claire got to play on a computer without anyone telling her not to touch!!!
When Shane or I get on our computers, Claire "works" on hers too (and she leaves our alone, YAAAAAAY!!!).
