For Valentine's 2001, Shane found a very special gift for me. We had been married 8 months and it was our first Valentine's as husband and wife. He remembered I had wanted a solid white Persian as a little girl so he found a breeder in California. They were about to move to Texas so it was perfect timing. When the kittens made it to Texas, Shane went to pick out our baby. I will never forget the tiny white kitten peeking its head out of his black leather jacket. We fell madly in love with our sweet Lexi. She was much more than our pet, she was our first born little girl.
Lexi brought us so much joy over the 10 years we had with her. She was my shadow and loved us unconditionally. She was incredibly kind to Claire, even when Claire didn't deserve it.
She became very tolerant of us putting things on her (like tiaras, jewelry, hats and hairbows).
and would just give Claire this look when she squealed in excitement over her "Lesh."
She loved to snuggle with us, especially on her Daddy's chest.
Our precious girl had to be put to sleep on March 25, 2010. Our lives will never be the same without our Lexi. Words cannot express how much Shane and I miss her. Claire still asks for her to give her a treat and a hug. Our lives will never be the same without our Lexi.
